High-volume production

Industrial laser cutting machines

Built for heavy-duty, continuous operation, with fiber sources from 1 kW to 120 kW and Raycus optics. Coil-fed lines, automated nesting and robotic unloading make them the working core of automotive, shipbuilding and construction plants.

  • Capacity: tubes to 750 mm diameter, sheets to 6 × 26.5 m, beam work zones to 36 m.
  • Throughput: cutting speeds up to 150 m/min (98.4 in/s).
  • Materials: carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper.
  • Automation: coil processing lines run continuously with integrated nesting software.
  • Upkeep: die-free cutting removes tooling costs and changeover downtime.

Micro-precision work

High-precision laser cutting machines

Systems for parts where tolerance decides the outcome: micro-tubes from 0.3 mm diameter and thin-walled stock held to ±0.005 mm, with minimal heat-affected zone. Built for medical device, electronics, aerospace and semiconductor production.

  • Medical components: stents, snake-bone tubing, hypodermic needles, surgical instruments, implants and catheter parts.
  • Geometry: spiral cuts, micro-perforation and interlocking patterns.
  • Materials: nitinol, medical-grade stainless, titanium alloys, precious metals and advanced polymers.
  • Finish: burr-free edges remove the secondary deburring step entirely.
  • Control: stable power at low duty for thin walls and fine webs.

Located in China's laser manufacturing hub

The factory sits in Jinan, Shandong — the centre of Chinese laser equipment production.

Jinan is known as China's “City of Intelligent Equipment”, and the plant sits inside that cluster in Changqing District, surrounded by laser manufacturers, component suppliers and research institutes. That proximity is practical rather than decorative: fiber sources, cutting heads, drives and optics come from suppliers within the same region, which shortens build times, keeps spare parts available and makes machines straightforward to service years after delivery.

Machines built here ship under the SBMachines brand. Buyers are welcome at the plant for live cutting demonstrations on their own material before committing to a configuration.

Common questions

What is the relationship between Jinan Starlink CNC and SBMachines?

Jinan Starlink CNC Equipment Co., Ltd is the manufacturing plant. SBMachines is the brand the machines are sold and supported under. The same equipment, one factory, one brand — sales and technical support run through sbmlaser.com.

What laser power should I choose for my material and thickness?

Power follows thickness and throughput, not the other way round. Up to 6 mm carbon steel, 1.5–3 kW is usually enough; 8–20 mm is comfortable at 6–12 kW; above 25 mm, and for high-speed thin-sheet work, 20 kW and up starts paying for itself. Coil-fed lines and thick plate are where 60–120 kW belongs. Send your material, thickness range and target output and we will size it against real cutting data.

Which materials can these machines cut?

Industrial systems handle carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper — copper and brass need a fiber source, as they reflect CO₂ wavelengths. Precision systems additionally process nitinol, titanium alloys, medical-grade stainless, precious metals and some advanced polymers.

What is the difference between tube, sheet and coil cutting?

Sheet machines cut flat stock loaded plate by plate. Tube machines rotate profile and round stock through a chuck system, cutting holes, slots and copes in one setup. Coil-fed lines uncoil, level and cut continuously from a roll, removing the blanking press and the die entirely — that is where die-free operation saves the most on medium and large runs.

Do you support the machine after delivery?

Yes. Commissioning, operator training, spare parts and remote diagnostics are handled through the SBMachines service channel. Because components are sourced from the Jinan cluster, replacement optics, nozzles and drive parts stay available long-term.

Can I see a machine cutting before I buy?

Yes. The Jinan plant runs live demonstrations, including test cuts on material you supply, so you can check edge quality, kerf and cycle time on your own parts rather than on a sample chosen by us.
